Birthday Reminders

Memory Murals automatically reminds you when a family member's birthday is approaching — so you never miss a chance to celebrate or share a memory.

How It Works

When you add a birthday to a family member's profile, Memory Murals sends you an email:

• 7 days before their birthday — a heads-up with time to prepare
• 1 day before — a last-chance reminder

Each email includes:

• The family member's name and relationship
• How many memories you share together
• A preview of up to 3 of those memories (with photos)
• A link to share a memory or create a new one

Setting Up Birthdays

1. Go to the Family tab in the app
2. Tap a family member to edit their profile
3. Add their birthday in the date field
4. That's it — reminders are automatic

What the Email Looks Like

The birthday reminder email is warm and branded:

• A cake emoji header with their name
• "Hannah's birthday is in 7 days!" or "Hannah's birthday is tomorrow!"
• A count of your shared memories
• Preview cards with photos from your favorite memories together
• A button to open Memory Murals and share or create a birthday memory

Tips

• Add birthdays for everyone in your family roster — even if you don't have many memories with them yet. The reminder will still let you know the date is coming.
• Create a birthday memory when you get the reminder — record a voice message, upload a photo, or write a note about what that person means to you.
• Share a memory with the birthday person via a shareable link — it's a thoughtful digital birthday card.
