How the Reward Works

It's a conversion-gated program — the reward kicks in when your friend actually subscribes, not just when they sign up:

Bonus days stack indefinitely. Twelve paid conversions earns you a full year of free premium. No cap on how much you can earn.

Why conversion-gated?

Earning bonus premium when a referee actually subscribes (not just signs up) keeps the program fair and lets us reward real advocacy. Each $99 of bonus premium we hand out is paid for by a $99 conversion — so we can keep being generous to power referrers indefinitely.

How It Works

Go to Account > Referrals in the app
Copy your personal referral link
Share it with friends, family, or anyone who'd benefit
Track your progress — see signups, conversions, and bonus days remaining

When someone signs up through your link, the system automatically attributes them to you. When they upgrade to paid (anytime — could be day one, could be month six), you earn 30 bonus days of premium.

Finding Your Referral Link

Your unique link lives in Account > Referrals. You can also find it in the share dialog — every memory you share via a link automatically includes your referral code.

Share your link however you like:

Text message — paste it into a conversation
Email — include it in a note to family
Social media — share it on Facebook, Instagram, or anywhere
Shared memories — every share link includes your referral code automatically

Shared Memories = Automatic Referrals

When you share a memory via a link and someone signs up from it, you automatically get attribution. You don't need to share a separate referral link.

Tracking Your Progress

Go to Account > Referrals to see:

Conversions — friends who've upgraded to paid (this drives your earned bonus days)
Signups — friends who've signed up via your link, regardless of whether they've upgraded yet
Bonus premium remaining — current balance of bonus days you can spend
A milestone progress bar showing your tier (Starter → Supporter → Advocate → Champion)

How Bonus Days Are Applied

Bonus days extend whatever premium status you already have. Here's how each scenario plays out:

You're on free. Bonus premium activates immediately and lasts until your bonus days run out, then you return to free.
You're in your trial period. Bonus days kick in after the standard 7-day trial ends.
You're a paid subscriber. Bonus days bank silently. The day your paid subscription ends (cancellation, expiration), the bonus picks up from there.
You earn another 30 days while bonus is already active. It stacks on top — you don't lose unused time.

Tier Milestones

The tier labels (Supporter, Advocate, Champion) are motivational milestones for the progress bar — they don't unlock additional rewards beyond the per-conversion bonus. The real reward is the bonus premium time, and you start earning it from your very first conversion.

Tell your own story first. Explain why you use Memory Murals and what it means to you.
Show, don't just tell. Open the app and walk someone through a memory you've created.
Share a memory link. The most natural referral is sharing something meaningful — your referral code is built right into every share link.
