Navigating the App

Memory Murals is organized into six main tabs, each designed for a different way of capturing and exploring your family's story. Here's a quick tour of what you'll find.

The Six Main Tabs

Timeline

Your main feed. Every memory you create appears here, sorted by date. This is where you'll spend most of your time — adding new memories, scrolling through past ones, and watching your family's story grow.

Family

Your family roster. Add the people who matter most — parents, grandparents, children, siblings, friends. Each person gets a profile you can tag in memories, building a web of shared stories.

Life Threads

A relationship map that shows how your memories connect to the people in your family. Tap any person to see every memory they're tagged in — a beautiful way to explore your shared history.

Legacy

Your private sanctuary for deeper reflection. Legacy offers 46 thoughtful prompts — questions like "What's the best advice you ever received?" and "Describe the home you grew up in." Answer at your own pace to build a rich personal narrative.

Media

Your centralized file library. Every photo, video, audio recording, and document you've uploaded lives here. Browse, search, and manage all your media in one place — independent of which memory it's attached to.

Calendar

A date-based view of your memories. See which days have stories attached, browse by month, and discover patterns in your family's timeline. Great for finding memories around birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries.

Getting Around

The tab bar sits at the bottom of your screen on mobile (or in the sidebar on desktop). Tap any tab to switch views. The + button is always accessible from the Timeline for adding new memories quickly.

Start with Timeline and Family

If you're new, focus on two things first: add a few memories on the Timeline, and add your closest family members on the Family tab. Everything else builds on those two foundations.

Beyond the six main tabs, you'll also find:

Account — manage your profile, avatar, notification preferences, and subscription
Help & Support — chat with our AI guide bot or submit a support ticket directly to our team

These are accessible from the menu icon or your profile avatar in the top corner of the app.

Designed for Mobile First

Memory Murals is built to work beautifully on your phone. Add a memory while the moment is still fresh — at the dinner table, on a walk, or right before bed. The app also works great on tablets and desktops when you want a bigger screen for browsing your Timeline or exploring Life Threads.

Every tab is just one tap away. Explore at your own pace — there's no wrong way to start.
