Managing Your Media

Your Media Library keeps all your uploaded files organized and accessible. Here's how to browse, manage, and use your media.

Browsing Your Files

Open the Media tab to see all your uploaded files displayed in a grid. Each file shows a thumbnail preview so you can quickly find what you're looking for.

Filtering by Type

Use the filter buttons at the top to narrow your view:

All — shows every file
Photos — only images
Videos — only video files
Audio — only audio recordings

This makes it easy to find a specific photo or video without scrolling through everything.

Previewing Files

Tap any file in the grid to open a full preview. Photos display at full size, videos play inline, and audio files have a playback control so you can listen.

Selecting Multiple Files

To work with several files at once:

Long-press a file or tap the select button to enter selection mode
Tap additional files to add them to your selection
Choose an action from the options that appear

What You Can Do with Selected Files

"Tell a story" — creates a brand new memory with those files already attached. The app opens the memory editor so you can add a title, notes, and family tags.
"Add to memory" — attaches the selected files to an existing memory you choose from your Timeline.
Delete — permanently removes the selected files from your storage.

Already Used?

A small dot indicator appears on files that are already attached to a memory. This helps you see at a glance which files are part of a story and which ones are still unattached.

Deleting Files

You can delete files individually by tapping on a file and selecting delete, or delete multiple files at once using the selection method above.

Permanent Deletion

Deleting a file removes it from your cloud storage permanently. If the file is attached to a memory, it will also be removed from that memory. Make sure you no longer need a file before deleting it.

Keeping Your Library Organized

A few habits that help:

Upload regularly — add photos and videos soon after they're taken so nothing gets lost on your phone
Attach files to memories — files connected to stories are more meaningful than loose uploads
Remove duplicates — if you uploaded the same photo twice, delete the extra to save storage space

Your Media Library is the central hub for all the photos, videos, and recordings that bring your memories to life.
