Managing Your Legacy Notes

View, edit, summarize, and organize all your Legacy answers in one place.

Every Legacy prompt you answer is saved as a private note in your account. Here's how to find, edit, and polish your Legacy collection.

Viewing Your Answers

Open the Legacy tab to see all your answered prompts. Each entry shows the prompt question and a preview of your answer. Tap any entry to read the full text.

Unanswered prompts are also visible so you can easily pick your next one. Answered prompts are clearly marked so you can tell at a glance how much of your story you've captured so far.

Editing an Answer

  1. Tap the answer you want to change
  2. Edit the text directly — add details, fix typos, or rewrite sections
  3. Tap Save to update

There's no limit to how many times you can edit. Come back whenever a new detail surfaces or you remember something you left out.

Using AI Summarize

If your answer is long or rambling (which is perfectly fine — that's how natural storytelling works), you can use AI to polish it.

  1. Open an answered prompt
  2. Tap the Sparkles button to activate AI Summarize
  3. The AI creates a cleaner, more concise version of your notes

Your Original Words Are Safe

AI Summarize doesn't overwrite your original answer. You can revert to your original text anytime. Think of it as a helpful editor, not a replacement.

Deleting an Answer

If you want to remove an answer entirely:

  1. Open the answered prompt
  2. Tap Delete to remove your response
  3. The prompt returns to its unanswered state — you can answer it again later if you change your mind

Legacy vs. Timeline

Your Legacy notes are separate from your Timeline memories. Here's the key difference:

  • Timeline — the stories you actively add, tag with family members, and attach photos to
  • Legacy — your private, prompt-guided answers that form a personal autobiography

Legacy notes stay private and don't appear on your Timeline. They're just for you — a quiet space to reflect and record.

Premium Feature

AI Summarize requires a Trial or Premium plan. All other Legacy features — answering, editing, and deleting notes — are available on every plan.

Your Legacy collection grows richer every time you sit down and answer a prompt. Even a few sentences per week add up to something your family will cherish.
