The Vault: The Private Sanctuary for Your Family's Truth
If the Timeline is the heartbeat of Memory Murals, The Vault is its soul. It is a secure, private sanctuary where the most significant pieces of a life are preserved with intention.

If the Timeline is the heartbeat of Memory Murals, The Vault is its soul.
While the Timeline celebrates the spontaneous, living story of your family, the Vault is designed for something deeper. It is a secure, private sanctuary where the most significant pieces of a life are preserved with intention. It isn't just storage; it is a legacy insurance policy that puts the power of the story exactly where it belongs: in the hands of the person telling it.
Privacy by Design
The most important thing to know about the Vault is that it is private by default. In a world where so much of our lives is public and searchable, the Vault offers a rare "inner circle." Nothing inside is shared unless the owner decides exactly who should have access.
This creates a psychological "safe harbor." When a storyteller knows their words are protected, they are more likely to share the raw, honest, and beautiful truths that truly define a life.
The 50 Questions: A Roadmap to Legacy
We know that staring at a blank page is the hardest part of preserving history. That's why every Vault comes pre-loaded with 50 default questions. These aren't generic interview prompts; they are carefully curated keys designed to unlock the memories that shaped who they are today.
The owner can choose which questions to answer, which to skip, and most importantly, who gets to see those answers. It's a guided journey through a lifetime of wisdom, taken one step at a time.
Multimedia Heritage: Audio and Documents
A legacy is more than just text on a screen. The Vault is built to house the "evidence" of a life in all its forms:
Audio Uploads: Do you have an old cassette tape of your grandparent singing? A voicemail from ten years ago that you can't bear to delete? You can upload these audio files directly into the Vault. Hearing the cadence of a voice from the past is the closest thing we have to a time machine.
Document Preservation: This is the permanent home for the physical artifacts of a history. It is the place for scanned copies of 100-year-old birth certificates, marriage licenses, or even a handwritten recipe that carries the "vocal fingerprint" of a parent's handwriting.
Roles, Permissions, and the Family "Steward"
Because every family dynamic is unique, the Vault features a robust system of Roles & Permissions. This ensures the archive is a collaborative effort without sacrificing the owner's control.
The Owner: The storyteller, they hold the keys. They decide what is shared and with whom.
The Steward: This is the person invited to help manage the legacy. A Steward can be granted permission to help upload documents, add new questions, or organize audio files.
The Viewer: These are family members invited to witness the story. They can see what has been shared with them, but they cannot change the record.
The Anchor of the Family
Years from now, the Vault will be the place the family returns to when they need to remember not just what happened, but who they are. By combining secure technology with the 50 foundational questions of a life, the Vault ensures that a loved one's wisdom isn't just a memory—it's a permanent part of the family's future.
